Apple Store Park City Grand Opening

Here we go.

Sorry I haven’t gotten the stuff up here before, but I’ve been super busy over the last couple days.

Anywho, on with the review.

We arrived in Lancaster and proceeded to find the new store. We came around the corner of the mall and there it was, gleaming and bright.

Here’s a map showing where it’s located within the mall, it doesn’t appear on the Mall online directory yet, but it’s there.

The store pretty much looks like other Apple stores that we’ve seen. Standard Apple logo above the entrance, glass windows, etc.

Once we entered the store, we found that there were Apple employees EVERYWHERE. WOW were they overflowing with people. They must have had every one that works at that store there at the same time. Different shirts for different functions and there was a mall manager as well as multiple uniformed mall security officers there.

Not 100% sure what the colors designated but here’s my best guess;
Orange = General customer service
Dark Blue = Genius Bar Tech
Light Blue = General customer service

The store was set up pretty much the same inside as most other Apple stores were.

You’ve got the iPod’s, iPhone’s, laptops, desktops, accessores, etc.

A few thoughts about the store, it flowed fairly easy, even if it was a bit cramped. I think though that it just felt cramped because of how crowded it was. I don’t think you could have crammed more people in there.

The store was HOT. I don’t mean that in a good way either, the temperature had to be almost 80 or more in there. I attribute that again, to the number of bodies in the store. Management should have anticipated this and had the AC turned on at a colder setting though in anticipation.

People were crammed in there like sardines and they were loving the store. People were buying left and right, asking questions, getting answers and looking at all the pretty colors….

They had the new Nano’s, all the colors, they even had the new color of iPod classic.

I like the store personally, the employees were friendly, helpful and more than willing to answer any and all questions.

I didn’t get too much of a chance to take a good look because of all of the people there, but I do plan on taking another trip down to slowly browse.

I think it’s going to do well there, I wish it was closer to Harrisburg, but hey, maybe in the future, they’ll open one up here.
