Route 72 in Lebanon closed again for water main repair; boil-water advisory in effect

Route 72 in Lebanon is again closed to traffic in the area of the Coleman Park entrance due to further repairs needed on a 30-inch water main that broke Monday. While the main was repaired and the road reopened Tuesday afternoon, one of the repair clamps did not hold overnight and started to leak, said Jon Beers, City of Lebanon Authority executive director.

Crews are completing the repairs and Route 72 is expected to reopen this afternoon and be open for the evening rush hour, Beers said.

A boil-water advisory remains in effect through 5 p.m. Thursday for the city of Lebanon and South Lebanon and North Cornwall townships, Beers said.
