I’m just going to leave this right here…

The appeals court in New York state said caged chimpanzee Tommy could not be recognized as a “legal person” as it “cannot bear any legal duties”.

The Nonhuman Rights Project had argued that chimps who had such similar characteristics to the humans deserved basic rights, including freedom.

MArooned shared this the other day and because my already increased BS meter has gone WAY through the roof, I’m just going to let him talk on my behalf (he’s not really talking on my behalf, I just tend to agree with him wholeheartedly on this).
